His Evidence

Betzí Román   -
Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. 10. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, 11. for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.- John 12:9-11 (NIV)
In the story of Lazarus’s resurrection it doesn’t mention that Lazarus had this great job or ministry or even that he was popular, but it does mention that his mere existence testified of what Jesus had did in his life. Lazarus being raised from the dead threaten the power of the enemy and exposed the truth once again that Christ is who He says He is and can do what He says He can do. We too should be the evidence of Jesus and what He did, not just for us but for the world. In scripture we read that it is the Holy Spirit who will testify of Jesus Christ in our lives (John 15:26 NIV). We should be testifying everyday with the way we live for Christ. When Christ is in our lives there is evidence of him, there is evidence of change. We no longer think, act, speak, or perceive things the way we use to, instead we make better decisions that will edify God and not our sinful nature. God loves to tell His story through us in a way that seems like He was reading the most exciting chapter in His book. He loves to remind us that He is still here and that He lives and He loves doing so through us!
Truth is, in today’s day and age people long for facts and data. They want proof/ evidence, so why not give them the biggest evidence of all and let Jesus tell the greatest story ever known to man and testify through us. So many times we have seen and read in scripture that every place Jesus visited there was evidence that He had been there, including an empty tomb. There are so many little ways to show what Jesus has done in our lives.
*When we are kind to those who are mean to us, we are being the evidence of Jesus.
*When we obey our parents with a good attitude, we are being the evidence of Jesus.
*When we start to take accountability and surrender those addictions and bad habits to the Lord, we are being the evidence of Jesus.
*When we begin to read our Word daily and obey each word that was carefully place in it, we are being the evidence of Jesus.
*When we treat those around us equally regardless of their gender, race, education or social class, we are being the evidence of Jesus.
*When we take a stand in work and will not conform to certain policies that come against the Word of God, we are being the evidence of Jesus.
Brothers and sisters, being the evidence of Jesus is allowing the Word of God to become alive in your life. It is living the Word out loud! What does your evidence say about you? You are loved.

Eres amado.
